Weekly Spread ~ January 30 to February 5, 2017 #planning #happyplanner

Well, we are into the last few days of January and headed into February! Wow the time goes so fast and boy do I have a lot going on this week! I found this adorable Hot Chocolate kit from Futiles Peregrinations. This site is in French, but she has some lovely free kits to download. Be sure to check her out and I'd love to give her a HUGE thank you for this kit and several others coming up!

Get the Kit Here: http://futiles.eu/stickers-a-imprimer-pour-happy-planner-%E2%9C%AF-chocolat-chaud/

So here we go with this week's spread!

This kit is just so adorable, I love the Hot Chocolate theme and thought that was appropriate for this time of year and a great way to move out of January and into February. I don't know how the weather has been where you live, but here in New Jersey it's been rather warmer and I must say I would love some snow, so I can curl up with some hot chocolate. Oh who cares, snow or not, I'm gonna enjoy some hot chocolate this week!

So on my sidebar, I got this put up this really cute check list with the hot chocolate deco. I thought that is appropriate for me, as I love rainy days, coffee, BOOKS (am an aspiring author and huge lover of books and who doesn't love cookies? I still have some delicious Walker's Shortbread cookies from Christmas!)

Then I have two habit trackers, to track something personal for myself and my food plan/meal plan, if I can stick to my meal plan, guess what? I get to buy Etsy stickers!

Then I have this cute clipboard, I'm in love with clipboards ever since I was in college and would use them for taking notes. But I also use the writing program Scrivener and I love the cute lil corkboard setup and this kinda reminds me of that. So I'll keep using a clipboard on my side bar for extra notes.

Then, we have some adorable deco. I love the Chocoholic text, yes, I am! I used my pink polka-dot washi from Michaels as background.

I used these wonderful date covers from Planner Problem's blog. The peachy color fit in perfect. Then I used lots of beautiful glitter headers from Jessica at MyPlannerEnvy.com. I love glitter, and I must say Mrs.MomNextDoor from Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/AmericanGirlJN  I higly recommend her channel if you LOVE Plan-With-Me videos. She's got me so addicted to glitter that I'm going to be buying everything glitter! I thought I was obsessed with pastel's, oh but I think I have an even bigger obsession with GLITTER!! So I've used a lot of MyPlannerEnvy.com's stickers throughout my spread and a huge shout out and thank you to her!

One note: In my past spreads (the few I've had thus far), I set up a Little Things or Thoughts section using the bottom section of my vertical layout. However, I'm finding I need that space, so I tried putting in half boxes in the bottom. But it covers up my washi. So for this week, that's fine we're going with it. However, I've come up with a system to create a Weekly Journal Page. So next week, I will be creating that page and sharing that, so be on the lookout for it!

Love the deco in this kit, so cute!

Here is my second page, again using the beautiful glitter stickers and many labels to mark special events happening or to do's . I used the adorable weekend banner and on Sunday as that's my day off from working, I love to spend the day reading and I just love the old fashioned book icon and candle, so reminds me of something right out of my Regency Historical novels! Huge Jane Austen fan! Then we finish it all off with some beautiful deco and full boxes. Love the Hug in a Cup!

I have a lot going on this week, my biggest goal is to really sit down and figure out my author-based schedules. On my Marie's Romantic Quill (my author blog) I want to start a weekly history tidbits topic, so I'm planning to work out that schedule for the year. I've started it, but due to other stuff happening last week, I didn't get to finish it. I also want to continue and get back to my writing craft posts. As an author, it's not just about sitting down and writing, there's really a methodology and structure to writing and I never knew all of this until I really started delving into writing craft. So I have a lot of medical stuff coming up and I'd intended my debut novel to be published this spring; however, I'm not sure if that's going to happen. I really want to make a smash and get a story out there that touches folks hearts, so it's my goal these next months to focus on my health and focus on mastering writing craft so I can bring a story that really touches folks! So, I have a lot of organizing and scheduling to work on this week!

I hope all of you have an awesome week and I hope you enjoyed my weekly spread!

February Monthly Spread 2017 ~ #planning #happyplanner

Can you believe it's almost February? I sure can't, the time has gone so fast. However, February is going to be an awesome month, and I've got lots of plans ahead! I found this beautiful printable floral kit from Fiffy Fragina Blog, it was a freebie, so if you are in need of a lovely February Kit and are on a budget, this is a great option!

Link to the Kit: http://fiffyfajrina.blogspot.com/2017/01/happy-planner-february-2017-monthly.html

So here's how my month looks thus far, more will be added as the days go by, but these are things I know that are happening for sure.

I just love this kit, such beautiful peachy and pink floral colors. On my side bar, I combined two heart check boxes and set monthly goals I'd like to accomplish or focus on, such as: Studying Writing Craft, Creating a better Planning System, Focusing on Meal Planning, etc. Then I left some blank heart check lists for jotting down anything that comes up in the month or that I need to make note of.

I used a lot of cute deco and functional stickers/labels to mark when I email my doctor, or when bills are due. and the top banner is beautiful. The quote on the second page says: Let All You Do Be Done In Love. That is so beautiful and so appropriate. The full boxes on the bottom were a tad too narrow to fill up the whole box, so I used some pink polka-dot washi to fill in. Such beautiful designs. A romantic feel to this kit for Valentine's day yet we're getting closer to spring; however, lovely winter is still with us!

So that is my February Monthly Spread, I hope you enjoyed it and I"ll be back momentarily with this week's weekly spread. Planning is so much fun and I greatly enjoy decorating.

A note: I have been using printable kits; however, I'm working on a system to expedite getting these cut and placed down quicker. I'm going to invest in a cutter and also I might be getting some actual stickers for some functional items or glitter headers that I use frequently and use the printable for my kits. However, that all depends on finances. There are so many beautiful printable kits and stickers out there! If you all have any advice on using printable stickers, please share!

Weekly Spread - January 23 to 29

Here is my weekly spread for January 23 to 29. I can't believe that January is almost over, wow the time is already flying fast! I used the Winter Owl printable kit by DesignStickerShop on Etsy. This week I finally had sticker paper and it worked out perfect! I think most of my spreads will be printable ones as they are more affordable; however, I will still try my hand at some of the lovely glossy sticker spreads I've seen on Etsy with coupons.

Here we go!

First page of my spread without any added writing or icons. Sorry this is angled wrong, I couldn't get the pic to work right. So anyhow, here it is!

I'm still working on developing my style, so things will most likely keep changing for a few weeks until I find what works best for me.

Here's the second page. I used the weekend banner from Libbie and Co on Etsy. The washi tape in the lower half of the page from Michaels.

Here is the first page of my weekly spread with my plans on it and some icons. I didn't use as many icons this week as my week mostly consists of reading and well planning a few things out; such as my history blog posts on my Marie's Romantic Quill blog and I'm also going to be working on organizing a sticker binder and system. So a lot of planning and organization ahead!

I do enjoy my 3pm Teatime, where I curl up with a good book and a nice cup of tea.

Here is my second page. One thing I wanted to mention, the kit I used was designed for the Erin Condren, so I've found it worked OK but it isn't ideal for The Happy Planner. So I will be on the lookout for Happy Planner specific kits. I've also added in a weight tracker and water tracker as I'd like to really start focusing on getting more water in. This isn't for actual volume of water but more for changing out soda for water. My body can't handle a lot of liquids, but it is my goal to stop drinking so much soda!

So this is my week planned out thus far! I hope all of you have a wonderful week and Happy Planning!

Weekly Spread - January 16 - 22, 2017

Finally getting around to posting this week’s spread. I've had some terrible back pain ever since Saturday and have had some troubles sitting at my desk too long. However, despite my pain, I managed to decorate my weekly spread.

I found a lovely printable kit from DesignStickerStore. They are having an awesome sale going on right now, so if you’d like some of these kits please visit them:

Here is the Kit: It's called Winter Wonderland. Oh I just love the cute little animals in their winter clothes!

Look how adorable these full boxes are!!

Next is my weekly spread and how I used the kit. Now, at this moment I did not have sticker paper. So I printed it on regular paper and then cut out the individual stickers and taped them on with scotch tape; yes, a tedious task but Oh so much fun! I've now ordered some sticker paper and for next week's spread I should have the paper and we'll see how that turns out. However, I think this turned out pretty good. I decorated Friday different as that is Inauguration Day. No matter who you voted for (I don't get into politics on my blog), it's still a really neat and special day and I liked to highlight that. I created my own full box to celebrate it.

So here we go!

Full Spread.

First Page: I use the top and middle section to write my To Do's and I used the lovely To Do labels for the top. The middle I used some of my pink washi that I got from Michael's. The last section in my planner, I used the Little Things header and here I will write my daily thoughts or little journal at the end of the day.

For my side bar, I created a Meal Plan label and full box to mark whether I stick to my meal plan or not. If I stick to it all week, I get to put some money aside and later can purchase something special. If I didn't stick to my plan, then I don't get my reward. I finished the side bar with some cute full boxes from the kit.

For the bottom I used some pretty washi I got from Michael's. I didn't like the washi the kit came with.

Second Page.

Here are the Half Pages I got from MAMBI last week. I created my weekly schedule. I might transition this each week, but it might change too. Either way; these are great for creating a schedule and I also used the back part to write some notes.

So that's how my weekly spread went. I've spent some time on Etsy yesterday and I've been working on creating a Planner Schedule for weekly spreads (I have yet to decorate a monthly spread) for the year. I've found some lovely kits and when I do purchase or print anything (I've found some wonderful free kits too) I'll post them with all of you!

Happy Planning, Friends!

Dollar Tree Haul & MAMBI (Me & My Big Ideas) Note Pages

Hello planner friends,

Well yesterday I finally made it out to The Dollar Tree. Also, yesterday my MAMBI Happy Planner Half Notes and Note pages came in the mail (for those of you who are new to planning, MAMBI is me & my Big Ideas. YAY so this was a really awesome Happy Planner Supply Day!

I had so much fun at the dollar store, I hadn't been there in quite some time due to illness but I'd seen so many YouTube videos mentioning planner stickers and my past as a teacher, I'm very familiar with all the general fun stickers they have but to see specific stickers and supplies for planners was an even greater joy!

So let this haul begin!

First up, here is my mambi half notes and full Note & Graph paper. I got the Half Notes for making daily lists in more detail. I got the full Note & Graph paper for jotting down my novel notes or any detailed notes I need to make that wouldn't fit in the spaces they give you in the planner.

So here are the links to these two items for those interested in purchasing them:

Note Paper: Half-Sheet

Note & Graph Paper

Next Dollar Tree Haul:

I thought this would be great for storing my little stickers that I use quite frequently. At least, this is what I'm going to use for the time being. Eventually I'll get a better organizational system going. Any advice, please share!

These were just randomly thrown in an aisle, I never did find an aisle where these were actually placed nicely to check out other patterns. So I went ahead and snatched these up. Perhaps with the hustle and buslte of the holiday season, my Dollar Tree was a tad disorganized (their Stationary/Office Supply aisle was a mess...)

However, these are two washi tape on their own tape dispensers. I love the hearts, which I plan to use for Valentine's and throughout February and maybe during the week of my Anniversary too. I also loved the pink flowers, those are definitely being used with a few sticker's I've collected on an upcoming spread this spring. I def intend to keep the dispenser's and use them for my other washi.

The two are Washi Tape (or paper tape) stickers. Aren't these sets just beautiful! You get two pages in each set. These are going to be great for some upcoming spreads throughout the year! Love it!

I'm already creating an owl theme in my head! When I was teaching my classroom was all done in owls. It was so much fun to decorate!

These stickers are SO beautiful! Oh I can't wait for spring to get here because these will be great in some of my upcoming weekly spreads! They also had a couple other sets that I'm going to be getting down the road, too. More Dollar Tree Hauls to come :)

I thought these were adorable! I have a cat and each month he gets his nails trimmed and every two months he gets a full bath. So these would be great for marking his grooming. Who knows, I might just have to do a puppy spread too! :) For National Dog week (if there is one?).

Cute little owls. #1 I might be creating an owl theme but also these would be great to mark for reading or studying/researching. These next two months are HUGE research months in preparation for my debut novel. So these will be getting a lot of use! Aren't they just so cute? Love them!!

Oh my gosh, look at these adorable hearts! They are so being used throughout February for Valentine's day and I'll be getting more to save for celebrating my fiance and my anniversary. I so love the dollar store for stickers, these are just so beautiful with the sparkly silver edges!

These are So cute for spring! I absolutely love them!

Love this, I'm going to be doing a sweet theme down the road and these are going to be perfect for it!

The best!! I can't wait for March and St. Patrick's day to get here! I absolutely love these and I have so many ideas running in my head to create some beautiful spreads, especially for the week of St. Patrick's day! I love the Pot Of Gold sticker's the best, aren't they just So cute!! So sparkly too! I gotta get me some shiny green glitter and gold foil washi!

Oh one of my FAVORITE things I got are these wonderful kits and functional stickers. Aren't these so beautiful! Oh how I can't wait to start using these. I'm going to definitely have to get a few more of these, because I can tell you, they will be appearing in my planner throughout the whole year. I love them! That little bicycle is just so adorable! I'm a historical romance author and that bike just reminds me of something right out of the Victorian era! I might have to create a whole new character based on that bike, a young heroine who sells flowers to the gentry and a dashing Earl begins to fall for her... hmmm ideas! Sorry, us writer's get ahead of ourselves sometimes! But these are just awesome stickers!

I also have created some pretty big goals for 2017 and these stickers also give me a lot of motivation to reach my goals.

So this was my wonderful trip to the Dollar Tree. I love this store and have for many years now. Well, please share in the comments any goodies you have found this past week and if you shop at the Dollar Tree, what are your favorite planner items, stickers, etc.?

Happy Planning!
