Meet Marie!
Hi friends,
I’m Marie Greaves and I’d like to welcome you to my
blog: Planning with Marie. I’m a historical romance author and also a book
editor. Prior to writing I was teaching preschool. My degree is in Early
Childhood Education and I absolutely love teaching. It wasn’t until I got sick
that I had to give up teaching and well through a series of events, I was lead
into writing, which has been something I’ve always dreamed of doing!
How I got Into Planning:
Through my years of academics and teaching, I’ve
grown to love planning. Planning is a big part of my life; then and now,
because it helps me keep everything in order and neat. I admit, I’m a type A
perfectionist and therefore I love organization. Every year I go out and buy a
new planner and get all excited about writing down my daily tasks and marking
upcoming appointments and the like. However, this year, I happened upon another
authors YouTube video where she mentioned an Erin Condren planner. So I began
looking at other YouTube videos and learned about the Recollections planner at
Michaels.
So on Thursday January, 5th just after
the New Year. I headed off to Michaels in hopes of getting the Recollections
planner. Well, they were all out except for one in the horizontal view and I
wanted the vertical view. So I saw the Happy Planner and I checked it out and
noted that it’s very similar to the Erin Condren, but a fraction of the cost
and better yet it was on sale. Originally $39.99, I got it for $14.99. Then I
headed to the sticker section and got a few stickers to start with. So I am now
addicted to planning with decorating. It’s such a beautiful, creative outlet
and it keeps my life in order but I also like how it’s a source of journaling
and keeping my memories. So I decided to start this blog to share with all of
you my joy and love of planning!
