Weekly Spread ~ February 27 - March 5

Here is my weekly kit for February 27 - March 5th. I used a freebie I found on http://www.cutedaisy.com.  I loved this kit, it was so much fun to use. There really wasn't a lot of functional stickers for this kit; however, that's OK because I love glitter and since this kit had glitter in it, I pulled in a lot of my glitter functional stickers.  First I used a beautiful full mauve/deep pink glitter decorative page from https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheDigiRainbow. I absolutely love putting down full decorative paper now on my sidebar before adding my deco. It takes away the white spaces and ahh just looks so beautiful! So if you're interested in a paper like this, go check out TheDigiRainbow, she has tons of Digi papers!

So for my sidebar, I used a cute lil bear box from the Kit, then two glitter habit trackers to track some habits I'm keeping watch over. Then I used a To Read sticker and I didn't have a Dinners label, so I used the personal one, but I'm using this weekly box to track my dinners. I used to put my dinners in each day, but I think I'm going to be putting it on my sidebar from now on. Then I added some cute deco, I got these other bear and heart stickers from the Dollar Tree. Oh, how I love my dollar stores.

So for each day, I always start with my date covers. I love these glitter date covers, I'll find the site I got these from, they were a printable freebie. Of course my glitter headers for above the boxes, I used a darker rose color, a tan, and a lighter pink.  Then each day I set up my To Do list, which doesn't change that much, but some days it does. I use these awesome glitter check flags. I haven't yet used ombre heart full boxes, but I might be trying those down the road. Then each day in addition to my daily To Do's, I have my schedule all mapped out.

Let me explain a bit. OK during the month of April, I'm going to be participating in Camp Nanowrimo which is part of NaNoWriMo, and for those non-writers, NaNoWriMo is every November and it's basically National Writing Month and years ago a gentlemen and his buddies decided to write a 50,000 word full-length novel during the month of November and it took off. SO now it's a huge thing, whether you're a professional writer or just wanna give it a go, it's a lot of fun!
Here's the link in case any of you would like to learn more or participate.

So, ever since January 2016 I had this idea for a historical romance series come into my head and through this past year I've had surgery, tons of medical stuff and illness as well as work stuff too, that have occupied a lot of my time. However, I never gave up on writing this series and well with Camp Nano starting in a few weeks, I decided I'm going to be sitting down and finally writing the rough draft for Isabelle and Richard's story. It will most likely be over 100,000 words; however, at least 50,000 are getting written in April!

So getting back to my planner. I sat down this past weekend and went through all of my writing craft books and chose a few that I wanted to really review and utilize for my outlining process and getting prepared for Camp NaNo. I also have some books that I want to tackle this month too; yes, some are for reviews (I review for HarperCollins Publisher's) but also some are for my own research and just enjoyment. So if you'd like to learn more about it visit Marie's Romantic Quill to learn all about my writing and such. Also, I've sat down and created a Historical Topic list that I want to research and write about on my author blog every two weeks. So here's the link to my author blog:

So during the month of March, you will be seeing a lot of reading and study stickers down! So my month and this week, in particular, are going to be very busy! However, I love it!

So that's my weekly spread for this week and I had a lot of fun working on it. I hope all of you have a wonderful week and until next time, Happy Planning! :)

Oh yes, on a side note, I did not get last weeks spread posted because I was really sick. However, I will be getting that posted tomorrow for all of you!

March Monthly Spread ~ St. Patrick's Day Kit from goDIGIgo

This is my monthly spread for March. I used an adorable St. Patrick's Day kit from goDIGIgo on Etsy; I'll link their shop down below. I added some cute St. Patrick's Day decorative stickers from Dollar Tree and I'll be adding those in my upcoming weekly spreads in March as well.  I have a lot going in this March.

For my sidebar, I set up a goals list, a To Do list to add in any additional To Do's that come up and I also set up a To Buy list, as I know I'll be getting some more stickers from Etsy as well as other things I might need to buy this month.

This kit was a lot of fun and I can't wait for all the wonderful St. Patrick Day and green's of March coming up!

Hope everyone has a great month!

Weekly Spread ~ February 13 - 19, 2017

This week I used a lovely Valentine’s Day kit from Futile’s Peregrenations, a French website. She offers some lovely free Happy Planner kits. Her Valentine’s Day kit can be found below!

Due to some very bad back pain that I've been dealing with, I didn't get my journal page done. However, I'll be getting that done later today. I have a HUGE Etsy and Freebie Haul coming soon. I've been absolutely in love with glitter stickers and also Kawaii stickers; oh so cute!

On my side bar, I have some pretty love birds deco and I kept the fancy "Notes" that was on the page and put down a heart check list, then my Meal Plan tracker and a personal habit tracker for something I'm working on. I added some pretty pink polka-dot washi from Michael's and some lovely deco. Some came from the kit and the little sparkly silver hearts came from the Dollar Tree.

I love adding in a cup of coffee at the top of Monday to get me energized to start my week. On Monday's I always post my planner weekly spread across social media, Instagram and here on my blog. I also have to make a phone call today and I have my daily duties that I partake in every morning for my work. Top if the list, of course is tending to my adorable cat, Cello and getting my coffee!

Here's a pic of my darling, Cello.

Every morning, he get's a little saucer of Cat Sip milk, that's specially designed for cats, as they are lactose intolerant and can't handle milk. Whilst, he's drinking his Ceam as we jokingly call it, I have my coffee :) Then it's off to work, where I do a lot of author promotions, blog tours and any editing that needs done. Also, I take time to pray daily and in the afternoon's, around 3pm I have Teatime and reading!

Tomorrow is Valentine's day, so I decorated my spread for that day, of course, I have my normal work. However, for dinner, my fiance and I are getting Chinese food and I'm going to be changing my meal sticker and putting in a cute Chinese take-out box sticker instead. Also, for the first portion of the week, I'll be working on cutting out and organizing my stickers. I found TONS more freebies and lots of Etsy stickers; so  huge Haul is coming soon!

Also, on the author front, I'm still working on re-vamping my writing craft course. I'm putting it officially into action starting March 1st, so I have lots to plan and prepare for! No slacking, this book WILL get written and published, no later than October 1st! Because NANO will be coming in November and all of October, I'll be preparing my NaNoWriMO plan and it's Get Ready, Set, Write, come November 1st! Lots ahead, my friends! Just a side note, I realized I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to have this book out like real fast and not realizing, hey ya gotta have a lot of this knowledge under your belt. To me it's not different than teaching, you can't walk into a classroom without a real strong foundation under you. So this is my version of Writing University and classes LOL Begin March 1st! I really want to put great work out there, yes, I have talent, but talent is only part of the equation.. ya gotta have the craft down pat!

Also, I love history and the Regency period and I'm going to be working on getting out bi-monthly Historical Articles for my blog Marie's Romantic Quill. Also, I'll be doing the same thing with bi-monthly Writing Craft articles. So essentially every week I'll be researching and posting in one of those to subject areas. In college, I fell in love with research and writing papers and yes I'm a geek and LOVE APA formatting, so that's how I"ll be approaching this History and Writing Craft project!

So these next two weeks will be focused on creating my schedule and here again, March 1st will begin the official posting of these articles!

Here is the second page of my weekly spread, and I've started a dusting schedule on every Thursday. I want to dust my dresser and night stand upstairs in my bedroom and dust both of my desks. I have my computer desk and my beautiful writing desk. I also, want to dust my book shelves. I may have to break these up throughout my day as I suffer severe back pain and fibromyalgia plus chronic nausea due to gastroparesis. However, I really want to strive to get these done every week. God give me the physical strength to endure! Then on Friday's I take the time to chose my stickers that go along with my weekly spread and this coming week, I will cut and put them all in a ziploc bag for on Saturday when I put the spread down and all together. I absolutely LOVE decorating my planner, I wish I'd found this years ago, what fun!

Sunday is my future Mother-In-Law's birthday, we are planning a very special dinner for her and we've got a lovely gift and card for her. We got her a CD (shhhhh can't tell her! ;) of one of her favorite singers. Then Sunday is a day where I rest a lot and do some reading as well as watching Plan With Me Videos, yes, I'm addicted! Oh Yes, of course I'm going to be creating my reading list for March soon. I have SO many books to read and so little time!! But I do have some reviews coming up in March, so I'm dedicated to those books!

One of my FAVORITE things about this spread, si the Typewriter full box. I LOVE it! I miss the days of using a typewriter, that awesome classic tick tick sound! I used a typewriter back in College and gosh back then was when I'd started my first full-length novel. It was about a young new doctor who began resuming piano lessons, she'd taken them as a child, but gave them up in her young adult years in order to focus on med school. Well the young dashingly handsome piano teacher, who is currently finishing up his Doctorate in music, well you can imagine, they both begin to fall madly in love. However, he gets a professorship job in another state and she's at her dream hospital, can their love prevail and will they remain or will their deep passions for their work, overtake the love they have for one another? Perhaps one day, I'll return to that book and finish it. But I remember the long hours in the night clicking away at that typewriter as the words flew across the page. How I'd love to find that story again and see how different my writing style is now from then!

So my friends, lots to come this week! I hope all of you have lots of Happy Planing and a Wonderful Valentine's Day!

I recently used some of them in this week's spread.

Here's a pic of some of the glitter sticker's I've recently purchased and printed out.

She also has some other wonderful pattern kits as well, I definitely intend to get all of these! So I highly recommend her shop and her items, they are wonderful!

Etsy Shop Spotlight

HI Friends,

Something new I'm starting on my blog is an Etsy Shop Spotlight! There are so many wonderful shops out there on Etsy and many of these ladies are either stay-at-home-mom's or working full-time jobs and running their shops. These ladies are very busy and many of them are so very generous to their customers and to the planning community, with wonderful sales and such. So I would like to spotlight a different shop each week and honor them! If I get any coupon codes from the shops for all of you, I'll share! So let's give these shops a big round of applause and while you're at it, stop on in and consider purchasing something!

Extra Planner Binders and Sections in my Happy Planner

Hi Friends,

I thought I'd share with you about a project I did this past week involving the extra binders that were in my Happy Planner. I just got this Happy Planner in early January and it was a 18 month planner, so I had taken out the months of July - December and had left-over binders. Well, I recently sat down and created a budget and I also have a writing section, an important information section and an Etsy Wish List section with coupon codes. I'll also be tracking my etsy purchases, too.

So I thought I'd go through my planner and share how I've set these up. First, I found beautiful printable full paper patterns to use on the backsides of the binders and extra pages. They come from the shop Let's Paper Up

Here's a link:

 https://www.etsy.com/shop/LetsPaperUp

Here's a pic of a full page you will find from her shop. All I did was print it onto full paper sticker and the fit it to the page size of my happy planner. Worked put perfect as you'll soon see.

So now let's begin:

First page in my Happy Planner (No I still haven't written in Belongs To section, I'm practicing writing with my Quill. I digress.

Back page is a very pale yellow background with white polka dots. The lighting makes it difficult to see. Next time I'd double up on the sticker paper as you do see a slight see through of the old 2016 calendar which was on the back. This is where I'm storing my Important information. I still need to make binder tab labels.

Here's the 2017 Calendar page.

On the back I put a beautiful mint green background with white polka dots. I'm using this section for any special notes I need to keep for the year.

Love this quote: This is the Good Life! This was the July Tab.

On the back I used a beautiful peach with green leaves. Not sure yet what I'm doing with this section, I might use this for a yearly goals section as the quote fits appropriately. One nice thing about these binders is each year I can save them and use them again in my Happy Planner, ahhh nothing goes to waste! I'm one who does not like to waste things!

I love this awesome floral E and the beautiful writing in the background. The color scheme reminds me of something written on old fashioned scroll paper! This is going to be my writing section where I'll keep book plotting ideas, character ideas and my writing and release schedules. The Wexford Sister's are coming soon!

For the back side I used this beautiful rose and peach striped paper. Love these roses and they match the beautiful flower's on the front!

Beautiful mint background with flowers. This was the former October tab. Love these colors. This section will be my Monthly Theme section for keeping tabs of all of the planner kits I want to use and any extra stickers I need for each kit as well.

Back part is a beautiful mint background with lil white flowers and polka dots. Fits perfect with the front page :)

Love this quote: "Failure is the Best Way to Learn". That is so very true, we learn more from our failures than we do our successes I feel! I'm using this for my budget, I thought the quote fitting as I sometimes fail at my budget (ugh I'm addicted to Etsy and must put myself on a monthly spending limit) and I also am a HUGE book lover and I admit I fall for those wonderful 99 cent book sales! My kindle is over-flowing!

Lovely Rose Gold glitter background to match the font color on the front page. It's in a rose gold foil. I love rose gold, do you?

So that was my project this past week, I had a lot of fun making my planner more pretty and now I have nice sections for all of the things I need to keep organized! Sorry the lighting wasn't the best, it was early evening when I took these pics. I hope you can still see the details and please do visit Let's Paper Up's shop as she's got plenty more to purchase!

Weekly Spread & Journal Page ~ January 6 - 12, 2017

Hello friends,

Well this week's spread I've chosen a cute winter owl theme, I love owls and I love winter. I figure this will probably be one of that last winter kits I'll be using as I know we've got Valentine's day coming up and I want to use some valentine's kits and well spring is just around the corner!

I just love the colors and the cute winter owls. I absolutely love owls. I am playing with my side bar and found these wonderful glitter side bar stickers from the Etsy Shop Ellums. They do come with a water tracker but I don't track my water, so I amended this to fit my needs. Each day at 3pm I sit down and have a nice big cup of tea and do some pleasure reading (meaning reading that is not for studying writing craft or other courses).

I also love to put a tea cup or coffee cup in the upper corner of my Monday's to symbolize the start of the week and a need for some energy. I got this idea from MomNextDoor and I just loved her idea. I also used some tea cup and book icons from Libby and Co on Etsy.

Also, I'm starting a daily prayer session and used some little's for that, as well as keeping track of my meals and if I watch any TV or YouTube videos. Rather than pre-planning as I have been doing, I've left these blank to fill in after I've done these. I do have some normal routines I do every day in regards my work with authors and also as an aspiring author; however, I left some blank sections for those activities that come up that weren't pre-planned. For example, this morning an author messaged me and asked me to create a media kit for her to give out to local libraries. So I've got to get all of that researched and created for her.

Also, I've decided that Monday's I'd post my weekly spread on my blog, Instagram and the planner FB groups I'm in. Sundays are a day for me to rest, spend time with family and church functions, so I wanted to keep that day open.

Pretty much the same as the first page, except for Friday I've decided this is the day to cut all of my planning stickers for my weekly spreads, then Saturday is when I do place them down in my planner and do my pre-planning. Aren't these lil owl's so cute?

So as mentioned before, I used to put a journal section in the bottom part of my weekly spreads, however, I have found I'm needing that space. So I've created a journal page. I sat down earlier in the week and created a variety of multi-colored Journal Text icons. I had looked form something similar on Etsy and all over, but couldn't find anything, so I decided to create my own!

There's a page of the text for you to see.

So back to my Journal page. I absolutely LOVE books and tea. I found some very cute book and tea deco from Etsy shops and some freebies, I also used some remaining deco from my Owl kit to add to the page. Then I took a bible quote that I got for free (I'll try to remember where I got it and post that later). Then I used ThatMomOverThere's awesome full boxes glitter stickers to place for each day where I can write a little paragraph about something that stood out in the day or something special or well even something unsettling that occurred. A way to remember the days and capture memories. I've always loved journaling but I just do not have the time to write out lengthy entries. So this is a great way to keep a simple journal and it's even more fun because I get to decorate it differently each week!

So I hope you've enjoyed my spread for this week! Welcome full week in February and I hope you all have an awesome week! Happy Planning!

Etsy Shops I used in this spread:

I used the Winter Owl Kit from MissPrintableStudio on Etsy. Here is the link to this particular kit. She has such wonderful kits that I highly recommend.

Winter Owl Kit:

I’ve also used a ton of beautiful glitter headers and stickers. These come from an Etsy shop – That Mom Over There. Later I’ll be spotlighting her shop on my blog, but if you’d like to grab these up, I highly recommend them as her glitter kits are just darling!

The beautiful glitter sidebar stickers came from Ellums on Etsy. I’m having some fun with my side bar and seeing what works and what doesn’t and as I’ve mentioned before, I’m obsessed with glitter and I found these beautiful sidebar stickers that I’ll be using for spreads where I use a lot of glitter.

Teabreak Stickers I used in my Journal Page:
